Joseph Kuipers is a Dallas based cellist, educator, and arts leader whose work centers on
innovative performance, education, and community engagement. Creative Director of Texas Cellos, he leads nationally recognized performance initiatives including Fredericksburg Music Festival and School as well as participation in major festivals: Aspen and Ravinia Music Festivals, Kronberg Academy, and the World Cello Congress.  Having trained with notable teachers in the USA and Europe he is equally fluent on modern and gut strings, and is known for programming that places Baroque, classical, and contemporary music in dialogue
