Experience GLOW—our boldly compelling launch to Season 16 that unites three groundbreaking works from some of the most vital voices in contemporary dance. Be there for the world premiere of a dynamic new creation by Robert Battle, former Artistic Director of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. Feel the tender grace of Concerto Six Twenty-Two by the legendary Lar Lubovitch. Be drawn into the haunting beauty of No Sea to Sail In by founder Bruce Wood. Join us for an evening of dance that will light up both the stage and your heart.

Be among the first to witness the world premiere of a bold new commission by Robert Battle. Known for his explosive movement vocabulary and daring choreographic voice, Battle’s newest creation is a visceral tour de force—crafted specifically for Bruce Wood Dance Dallas.

Lar Lubovitch’s Concerto Six Twenty-Two is a masterwork of fluidity and connection. With its iconic male duet and sweeping ensemble work, the piece radiates compassion and quiet power. Lubovitch, hailed as “one of the best ten choreographers in the world,” infuses the entire piece with warmth, humanity, and exquisite physicality. The New York Times calls it “a work of profound compassion and quiet grandeur.”

Bruce Wood’s hauntingly lyrical No Sea To Sail In opens the evening. A meditation on longing and resilience, it pulses with emotional depth and Wood’s unmistakable choreographic clarity: movement that speaks straight to the soul.

GLOW is a curated collision of physicality, story, and vision. It’s not just a performance—it’s an invitation to feel something real.

Stick around post-show for Curtain Chats—an open conversation with the artists that invites you deeper into the work.

Approximate run time: 90 minutes, including two intermissions.
