Step through the looking glass with Bruce Wood Dance Dallas as we open our 17th season with Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland—a whimsical, heartwarming, visually captivating triple-bill that will delight audiences of all ages.

Experience the highly anticipated Dallas premiere of Joy Bollinger’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the celebrated Schmetterling from our founder Bruce Wood, and a bold world premiere from the award-winning Chicago innovator, Noelle Kayser. Bursting with humor, charm, and theatrical brilliance, this family-friendly production promises to fill your heart with wonder.

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Resident Choreographer and Répétiteur Joy Bollinger is a wondrous, masterfully-crafted tour-de-force. Originally commissioned by the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, the piece premiered in 2025 to spectacular critical acclaim, with Scott Cantrell of The Dallas Morning News praising the choreography as “unflaggingly imaginative… delightful from start to finish.” Join us as we tumble down the rabbit hole into a vividly reimagined dreamscape that brings Lewis Carroll’s beloved tale to vivid life.

World Premiere by Noelle Kayser, a Chicago-based blazing force in contemporary dance and resident choreographer for Portland’s creative incubator, Open Space. Celebrated as one of Newcity Magazine’s “50 People Who Really Perform for Chicago,” Kayser brings her signature visceral, athletic, and groundbreaking choreographic vision to Dallas.

Schmetterling by founder Bruce Wood is a critically acclaimed masterpiece set to the sublime piano concertos of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. First premiered in 2004, this radiant work is a masterclass in musical alchemy—showcasing Wood’s unique gift for physicalizing music. As the Fort Worth Weekly raved, “Few choreographers are as sensitive to a musical line… Wood can pierce the grandiloquent facade of Mozart’s style to find the humanity shining within.”

Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland kicks off our spectacular new season with an unparalleled showcase of of artistry, wit, and breathtaking movement.

Stay with us after the show for our Curtain Chats to meet the artists and share your thoughts on this exhilarating production.
